Without much further a do, let’s dig in straight: No successful organization would have been where it is today without effective leadership. Effective leadership is almost always one of the main and primary drivers for growth, development and innovation.

And take note, leadership isn’t about the titles, or even the accolades. Effective leadership is much more meaningful, impactful and profound. It’s earned and worked for. There is no set formula or step-by-step plan, it depends on the culture and needs of the organization. If you want to know why you are having ineffective leadership, first question your company culture.

It’s also important to point out that leadership is different from managing. While management is also an integral part of the success of an organization, it is fundamentally different from leadership. Managers manage things. They look at logistics, balance budgets, and so on. While good managers can also have effective leadership skills — which is actually very ideal — the two are do not necessarily always go together.

Firstly, reports pontificates that organizations premised on highly effective leadership attain vision and mission within the projected time limit unlike those laid on inefficient and ineffective leadership. This is due to the fact that ideal leadership has proper and clear frameworks necessary to effectively and timely execute the task assigned.
Highly effective leadership accords its employees timely and encouraging feedback for work well done and that done within the time limits. This is mainly necessary to either appreciate a particular assignment well done or to comment on some areas that contain some mistakes which deserve to be corrected. For instance, you did your work as we anticipated, well done, we have assessed your project and we have realized that some aspects have to omitted and this is the template to effect the revision
Also, it true to say that effective leadership is grounded on listener-ship. This is mainly to collect views and suggestions on how particular project is to be executed. Not only that, 94% of employees with great bosses feel passionate about their jobーnearly twice as many as those working for a bad boss. A strong leader increases employee loyalty, creating a conducive environment for reaching a company’s goals.  Mr. Peter Ndegwa, the CEO of Safaricom, once said that listening is a skill that requires time to master. Further, he asserts that it is the only feature that sets leaders apart from other leaders. Also, it helps them to create an inspired team that helps their organization to attain success unlike organizations premised on poor leadership.

Lastly, highly effective leadership takes lead in their projects executions. They hardly seat and command their employees to do for them. Telling someone to do something through demonstration is easier to understand than using words to describe how that particular task should be executed. This is in accordance with Visual Teaching Alliance reports.
