Panic as Inferno Brings Marikiti MSMEs to a Sudden Halt
Micro, small and Medium Enterprises in the famous Marikiti market are counting losses after an inferno razed down property of unknown value on Saturday Night.
The fire which is feared to have began just a few minutes after eight at night, has caused a huge commotion along Digo road where vendors and market dwellers have parked.
Through his social media pages, Mombasa county governor Hassan Joho, has called on all MSMEs to remain calm as he ensures enough rescue operations is done.
Mvita Mp Abdulswamad Shariff Nassir present at the market held hands in helping the owners try to calm the situation down. The inferno comes only a few days after another major fire burned down Kongowea market.
